The Freedom Monument.

Unveiled in 1935 as a symbol of Latvia's (short lived) independence.

The figure at the top is affectionately known as "Milda" and the soldiers which can be seen stood at the foot of the monument are symbolicly guarding Latvia's very freedom itself.
